What are MAD Organizations?
In the early 2000s, China's internet penetration rate was low, and major video websites had imperfect systems. Opportunities for exchange between China and Japan were limited, and there were no anime conventions. As a result, creating MAD faced technical and communication challenges, making it difficult for individuals to produce works alone. Fans came together to collaboratively complete projects. Due to the underdeveloped state of websites, finished MAD works could only be distributed in the form of DVDs produced by a few individuals and sold at anime conventions, which marked the origin of Teams.
Later, as Japan's copyright control became increasingly strict, the production of DVDs faced restrictions. By around 2010, the internet had gradually improved, allowing MAD creators to start submitting their works to websites. Around 2013, Bilibili (B站) rapidly rose in popularity, prompting creators to shift to publishing their works on that platform. Consequently, the format of Teams also changed from offline to purely online. However, the tradition that offline Team members can only join one Team has persisted, leading to the saying "a person can only join one Team."
Today's MAD organizations can be roughly divided into five categories:
- Team: A Team is generally a gathering place for a group of high-quality MAD enthusiasts and is the identity that best reflects your skills. The overall quality of a Team is high, requiring members to maintain a certain level of activity, and the entry threshold is relatively high. However, being part of a Team provides a better environment for chat and a quieter community.
- Club: A Club is generally a gathering place for MAD enthusiasts, usually consisting of a larger number of members. The entry threshold is lower, and the atmosphere is conducive to chat and interaction.
- Studio: A Studio is typically formed by individuals coming together for a specific purpose. Some Studios also provide a significant number of commercial projects for profit. The entry threshold varies depending on the circumstances.
- Group Chats: Some group chats are filled with various Maders who engage in lively discussions about everything.
- Contest Organizers: Many organizations themselves serve as contest organizers, so they will not be displayed on this page.

Abbreviated as IFT, we are a young and vibrant MAD production team dedicated to blending music and anime to create unique and impressive works. Our team is full of creativity and passion, with each member being an independent and innovative creator. The Initial Mad Team was established on July 5, 2019, as a MAD creation team composed of a group of creators passionate about MAD and anime. It is dedicated to providing a platform for MAD enthusiasts to communicate and express themselves, and promotes exchange and cooperation through organizing various competitions and events.
The annual MAD competition [Fenghua Huizhan] organized by Initial MAD Team has reached its fifth edition.
In addition to competitions, Initial MAD Team also focuses on internal growth and development. The team brings together members with diverse styles, including some award-winning participants and professional PV creators. Their unique creativity adds richness and diversity to various stylistic fields. Through mutual communication and sharing, the team creates opportunities for collective growth and development. At the same time, the group serves as a great place for casual conversations and sharing interesting stories.
We are HOVER MAD TEAM, abbreviated as HMT, established on April 20, 2015. In 2023, HMT initiated a restructuring plan and created a new division. Currently, the new division has 52 official members and 4 guest members.
HMT’s principles are: Praise friendship, humbleness, and inclusiveness; Rejects hierarchies, pressure, and discrimination. Aims to Foster a relaxed environment while implementing strict management; Strives to build a community filled with a sense of belonging; Stays true to our initial goals, passion, and love!
In the nine years since its establishment, these principles and spirit have remained unchanged, allowing both new and old divisions to stay highly active throughout the years. We have organized events such as the Annual Ceremony, Natsuzuki Cup, Milk Gang IC, and Rosa Festa as contribution to China’s MAD and AMV community.
Founded on March 17, 2012, Group H has a history of over 12 years. Currently, there are 117 members, including recent stars such as 折木、银杏叶、雪团子、Higasinanshi、朽木等也有老一代的旅人姐姐、神夜、博丽西瓜、黑岩、杯子、忆缘、稻草、宫园葵 and a group of MADers who focus on still-life and PV creations, as well as members skilled in AMV production like 冰汐、夕阳下的二少、钻石星痕、dikaer and other members skilled in AMV production. The group leader is 结城音無.
"Mirai" is derived from the Japanese romaji for "未来," meaning "future." The name has two main meanings: first, it refers to cultivating a plan for future MAD masters, indicating that newcomers with no skills can become highly skilled in the future; second, it signifies the exploration of new MAD production modes, including various mixes of animation AMVs, still-life, PVs, MMD, and more.
Since its establishment, the Mirai MAD Team has hosted several consecutive MMGC, which have become a unique event in the MAD community. The core mission of Mirai MAD Team emphasizes the originality of works and the creators' love for MAD.
This is a group for MAD enthusiasts and a chat group (not really), and sometimes it’s an A GAME EUS TEAM. However, our original intention remains unchanged: if you feel lonely making MAD alone, let's create together, communicate, and improve as a community.
You may think your skills are lacking, but the most important thing in making MAD is love—creating for what you are passionate about is the true meaning of MAD. As your love reaches a certain level, you'll start to pursue the quality of your creations, learn, and strive to enhance your aesthetic sense to better express and interpret your love for it.

晓之制作组,We specialize in creating MADs, GMVs, and hand-drawn animations, and we may even develop our own visual novels in the future. We are a diverse doujin group that has worked on still-frame, mixed-style MADs, as well as FX and Western styles. We have hosted two domestic "Mader Must Die" competitions. Our members evolve from simple MAD creators to taking on various roles, such as figure sculptors, voice actors, and illustrators, through social experiences. Our focus is on making friends and exploring the world, with no strict requirements.
The original LOli MAD TEAM, established on August 1, 2014, is abbreviated as L Team. Due to a well-known reason, the group changed its name.

Shining ACG Video Studio, also known as 西电晒你动漫社视频组, was established on May 4, 2017. We are part of the Shining Anime Community, focusing on ACG cultural creation. Our primary emphasis is on MAD, but we also discuss and teach other topics related to film post-production and digital media technology. We are responsible for video production for many community-related activities.
We have departmental activities every week—whether it's technical teaching, group MAD viewing, playing cards and chatting, or online gaming... The atmosphere is harmonious, with no pressure. However, we only recruit new members within the university.
